No. Customers who receive advice on budgeting do not have to cover any costs. Typically, if a customer chooses to take their debts into a Debt Management Program, then there will be a monthly contribution to cover the costs of administering the program.

Yes. Confidentiality is one of the benefits that we offer our customers. Customer participation is not reported to anyone unless requested or authorized by the customer. We do not give information to credit reporting agencies. If the customer decides to take advantage of a Debt Management program, they must sign an authorization so that CCCS-PR may negotiate its debts with creditors.

Having all the documents related to your debts on hand helps reduce the time of the counseling session.

You must bring your most recent credit card statements, credit statements, collection letters from agencies, evidence of income, and receipts of your monthly expenses, such as: water, electricity, and telephone, among others.

If you do not have any of these documents, you should prepare a list of your income, expenses, and debts so that the counselor can assist you.
